• prevent youth initiation of tobacco use;

• increase quitting among youth & adults and

• eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke. This goal is met by

  • educating about the dangers of exposure to secondhand tobacco smoke;

  • encouraging citizens to insist on smokefree when choosing a business to patronize and refrain from tobacco use in public places;

  • advocating for the elimination of smoking in all public areas and

  • supporting the development and enforcement of smokefree policies.
